Dear Diary,

16 dollars in the bank (at least it's not in the negative). Shoes are falling apart (they were free and we've had a good run). The price of cigarettes went up again (it's time to quit anyways). The cats have fleas (which just sucks). No headphones (I've listened to the same 6 songs for 8 months straight and besides, distance makes the heart grow fonder). No food in the fridge (I know people with food, "can I just uh, come over to your house?"). Been paying more to wait more on a transit system that is dying (reason #45 to get a bike). Haven't paid my student loans in months (hey, this country runs on debt and my debt creates job opportunities within collection agencies). Need a new place to live (maybe it's just better this way). Trying to get fired from my job ("even if you hold a customer hostage they will just say you need a vacation"). Can't seem to quit my job (there's free food). I have no air conditioning (it's bad for the environment and the wallet I don't have). I have no fan (keep an eye out for on trash days). Internet doesn't work because I'm stealing it (one sometimes gets what one doesn't pay for). Ready to utter a loud, sharp, piercing cry (you know, sometimes, you've just got to let it all out).
